Finance for the equipment your business runs on — arranged, not sold.

Halstead Finance arranges asset finance and equipment leasing for businesses. We look for the right funder for the deal rather than pushing one product at everybody, and we handle the paperwork and the back-and-forth so you don't have to.

Talk to us Business finance only · most work comes from repeat customers

We are an intermediary, not a lender. We don't lend our own money and we don't hold a book of our own. We introduce businesses to a range of finance providers and arrange the agreement with whichever funder suits the deal.

What we do

Businesses come to us when they need equipment and would rather spread the cost than pay for it outright. We work out how the deal is best structured, then find a funder to back it.

Asset finance

Funding tied to a specific asset — machinery, plant, tools or commercial vehicles — so the equipment itself underpins the agreement.

Leasing & hire purchase

Lease the equipment over a term, or take a hire-purchase route towards owning it outright. We explain the difference in plain terms and help you weigh it up.

Finding the right funder

We look for the right funder for the deal rather than a one-size-fits-all product, and put the case to the ones most likely to support it.

How it works

A straightforward process, kept off your desk. We do the legwork and come back to you when there's something to decide.

Tell us the plan

What you need, what it's for, and roughly the numbers involved. A short conversation is usually enough to start.

We assess the deal

We look at how it's best structured and which of our funders is a sensible fit for it.

We do the paperwork

We prepare the application and manage the back-and-forth with the funder on your behalf.

You decide

We bring you the terms in plain language. If it works for you, the agreement is with the funder — not with us.

Who we work with

We work with businesses only — established firms buying the equipment they need to trade. That covers a broad range: workshops and contractors taking on plant and machinery, operators adding commercial vehicles to a fleet, and firms replacing kit that has reached the end of its working life. If it's equipment a business relies on, it's the sort of thing we're asked about.

The way we prefer to work

Most of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals, which suits us: it means we're usually arranging finance for people we already know, on terms they already trust us to get right. We'd rather take the time to understand a deal properly than turn it round at speed and get it wrong. Nothing about the arrangement obliges you to proceed, and the credit agreement, when there is one, is always directly between you and the funder.

A few common questions

Do you lend the money yourselves?
No. We're an intermediary. We arrange the finance and introduce you to a funder; the agreement itself is between you and that funder.
What kinds of equipment can be financed?
Typically business equipment — machinery, plant, tools and commercial vehicles. If it's something your business uses to trade, it's worth asking about.
What's the difference between leasing and hire purchase?
Broadly, leasing lets you use the equipment over a term, while hire purchase works towards owning it. Which suits you depends on the deal, and we'll talk it through before anything is decided.
Do you work with individuals?
No — we work with businesses only.
